Say it out loud. Medvedin logs it.
When your hands are full of cat, there's no time for a phone. Tell Alice: "ask the Medvedin app to log Barsik's pill" — and the dose is saved. You can also ask what's left to give today, how much water Barsik has had, or what the last weigh-in was.
Alice · the Medvedin app
One conversation — one entry.
The skill works with Yandex Alice — on a smart speaker, in Yandex Browser, and in the Yandex app. Link Medvedin once, then use it without ever reaching for your phone.
A command straight from real life: in the evening Galina gives Musya a syringe of water and tells her speaker: "Alice, ask the Medvedin app to log fifteen mils of water for Musya." Alice is right there, on the screen.
What it can do with Alice
Ten commands that cover almost everything.
The pet names are just examples. The skill works with any kind of animal — a cat, a dog, a rabbit, or a parrot.
Before every command, say the standard prefix: "Alice, ask the Medvedin app to <command>." This prefix is a quirk of Yandex Dialogs: it's how Alice knows the question is for the Medvedin skill and not for her.
How to set it up
Three steps and one action.
-
Find the skill.
On your phone or speaker, say: "Alice, launch the Medvedin app." Alice will find the skill in the Yandex Dialogs catalog.
-
Link your account.
Alice will ask you to sign in — use the same method you use in the app. You do it once, and Alice remembers you after that.
-
Say a command with the prefix.
From there, phrase commands like this: "Alice, ask the Medvedin app to log water for Musya." Same goes for every command in the table above.
When your hands are busy — Alice hears you
The three moments this is all for.
Morning in the kitchen
You're cutting up food, bowl in hand, phone out of reach. Tell Alice — the dose is logged, no need to stop and wash your hands.
In the bathroom with the cat
You're giving Semintra by syringe, holding the cat, phone unreachable. Tell Alice — it's logged. The cat won't get away.
In the car
Driving to the vet and need to recall the last weight. Ask Alice — she tells you. No need to take your eyes off the road.
What Alice can't do
Honestly — the limits.
Voice is convenient, but not for everything. Do the complex setup in the app, and use voice for the routine.
- It doesn't set up new medications. It only logs existing ones — the medication has to be added in Medvedin beforehand.
- It doesn't edit history. If you want to fix yesterday's dose, that's done in the app.
- In noisy places it doesn't catch everything. If the cat is meowing or the TV is on, Alice may ask again.
- It mixes up similar names. "Barsik" and "Bars" — it'll ask you to clarify which one to log for.
Say "Alice, open the settings for the Medvedin app skill" — there you can see whether the account is linked. If something won't work, message us on Telegram and we'll sort it out.
